2005 Summer Rental Cottages

Properties Unlimited offers in excess of 130 rental properties available during the summer months. While most of the cottages are available for two week minimums, a few will offer a weekly rate.

The majority of the rental properties are located in Quonochontaug (a lovely beach community of Charlestown), and offer private beach rights. Practically all are a short walk or bike to the beach, even though parking is provided. Rental properties located in Shelter Harbor, Shady Harbor, and Green Hill offer private beaches, as well, a short drive away. Other rentals in Charlestown Beach are either on the barrier beach or across the street.

It is not too late to reserve your summer rental. Our inventory is still good. Rentals are reserved with a 50% deposit, and the balance is due May 31st, 2005. You will need to bring your own linens, beach chairs, and good weather. Pets are not allowed in the majority of our cottages, however, there are a few that will accept a pet with addition security.

East Beach - Quonochontaug Cottages in East Beach will have beach passes for Quonochontaug East Beach Association (QEBA) located at the end of Highland Road - or have ocean access across East Beach Road. The beach is one of the longest stretches of private beach in southern Rhode Island. You may access both coastal salt ponds through various rights of way.

Central Beach - Quonochontaug Summer renters staying in Central Beach (CBFD) will have passes for private beach parking at the end of Surfside and Ocean View Avenues. The community offers a ball field, tennis courts and access to Quonnie Pond.

West Beach - Quonochontaug Depending on the cottage you rent, West Beach properties will have access to private West Beach, or you will have a cottage pass to the town beach (Blue Shutters) at the end of East Beach Road.

Charlestown Beach & Green Hill Beach Most cottages in Charlestown Beach & Green Hill Beach are just steps away from the ocean, and have lovely views. Charlestown Breachway, at the end of Charlestown Beach Road, offers access to Charlestown (Ninigret Pond) for launching a boat or fishing. Other cottages in Charlestown Beach area offer passes to the Town Beach and may be a short drive away.

Shady/Shelter Harbors & Haversham (Weekapaug Beach) Shady & Shelter Harbors are communities nestled along Quonochontaug Pond. Both areas offer private parking at Weekapaug Beach. Weekapaug Beach is a short drive away, or can be accessed by boat or canoe by crossing Quonnie Pond. It is a beautiful stretch of barrier beach with Quonnie Pond on its north side. Within both communities there are small beaches on the pond - great for little ones. Shelter Harbor offers a shuttle service to the beach several times during the day. Tennis courts are also available.
